Robert Chaffee Morgan
- Lt. Colonel
Not a relative, but I possess his membership medal from the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS). A native of Oswego, New York, he served in the 10th U.S. Infantry in Mexico in 1847-48.

He was commissioned a Captain and Ass't. QM, 18 June 1862, and breveted Major and Lt. Col. of Volunteers, 13 March 1865. He was mustered out 1 October 1867. Robert died on 27 January 1884 in Washington, D.C.

In 1866 he became Companion #00355 in the MOLLUS.

Company B
George F Ely
- Private
George F Ely was my Maternal Great Great Grandfather. He enlisted March 1864 and died at Salisbury, NC Confederate Prison 12/6/1864. Speculation allows that he may have been captured at the Battle of Globe Tavern, August 19, 1864. Speculation also considers the fact that his death on Dec 6, 1864 may have been a result of the prisoner revolt at Salisbury Prison on November 25, 1864.

Company G
William Rosa
Rank Unknown
A William Rosa did serve in Company G., 10th Infantry, Regular Army. I am working to find proof that this William Rosa was the same person as William Harrison Rosa, son of Esek Hartshorn and Juliette P. (nee Halstead) Rosa, born 12 Jan 1835 in Cincinnati, Ohio. William Harrison Rosa was reported to have been a Major in the Union army during the Civil War, assigned to the Quartermaster Corps, and was stationed near Batesville, Arkansas in Independence County, where he later settled. A listing of the enlisted men who served in the 10th Infantry, Regular Army is found on the Civil War Virtual Archives Homepage at http://www.usregulars.com/usarmy/!10usroster.html; William Rosa's rank is not stated. I am not sure that a Major would be among a list of enlisted men. If anyone has any information regarding William Rosa, please contact me.
